During your VORT-focused driving lessons at Preston Driving Academy, you’ll learn all the essential skills and manoeuvres required to pass the South Australian Vehicle On Road Test. This includes mastering the five key tasks assessed in the VORT – the U-turn, three-point turn, 90-degree angle park, reverse parallel park, and moving off from the kerb. We’ll also cover smooth gear changes (manual or automatic), correct use of mirrors and indicators, maintaining safe following distances, and confidently navigating intersections, roundabouts, and lane changes.
Beyond the test manoeuvres, our lessons ensure you’re fully prepared for real-world driving. You’ll learn hazard perception and defensive driving techniques, speed management, road positioning, and how to apply South Australian road rules in different traffic situations.
